Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This website is a portfolio. It does not use analytics, advertising or tracking, and it collects personal data only when you choose to send a message through the contact form. This page explains what that means in practice.
Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Industrijsko oblikovanje, Žan Brezec s.p., Jurčičeva cesta II 7, 1290 Grosuplje, Slovenia (registration number 8614059000, VAT ID SI77276116). For anything related to your data, write to zan@brezec.com.
The contact form
When you send the contact form, we receive your first name, last name, company and email address, together with the language you were browsing in. We use them only to reply to your request and, if we go on to work together, to arrange and carry out that collaboration.
The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Messages are kept for as long as the conversation or collaboration lasts and are then deleted, except where the law requires us to keep business records for longer.
The form is delivered by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a service that forwards the message to our email inbox. FormSubmit processes the data only to deliver it.
Visiting the website
The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. and its images and videos are served through Cloudflare. As with any website, their servers briefly log technical information about each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request, to deliver the pages and protect them against abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use these logs to identify or profile visitors.
Cookies
The website sets a single cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers whether you are reading in English or Slovenian. It contains nothing else, is needed for the language switch to work, and is not used for tracking. There are no analytics, advertising or social media cookies.
Embedded videos
Some case studies include films hosted on YouTube. They are embedded in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). When a page with a film loads, your browser connects to YouTube, which receives your IP address and technical information about your device; if you play the film, YouTube may store information in your browser. This is governed by Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Transfers outside the EU
Some of the providers above are based in the United States. Where your data leaves the European Union, the transfer relies on the safeguards those providers offer, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of its processing, or a copy in a portable format, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to zan@brezec.com and we will reply within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Slovenian supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec, Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, www.ip-rs.si).
Changes
If the website starts processing data in a new way, this page will be updated first. The date at the top shows the latest version.
